As a judge would say. The time to discuss this was over. I gave you a lawful order which you have ignored. Perhaps you need some time to think about that.
Or just wait for his friend Donny J. to issue a pardon.
The president can only pardon federal crimes. This is a NY state case AFAIK.
I did think about that at first, but then I thought “I don’t think Trump realizes that, and I don’t think that would stop him.”
He has enough sycophants behind him at all levels of government to make problems go away, and he definitely wants to wield the power of the president in ways that are unprecedented (un-presidented?).
